Alternatively, you can attach your own invitation letter from an agent who will be organizing your business trip or conference. You should not use an online translation tool as this may include mistakes that could cause problems with your application process.

The following documents must also be provided:

  • Proof of accommodation, usually either a hotel booking confirmation or proof that you have booked accommodation with a hostel/hotel/homestay provider, etc., whichever is most appropriate for your trip plan; note however that if you only want to stay one night in Beijing then this isn’t necessary since we’re assuming here that people are staying at least two nights before their departure flight back home.

Different types of Chinese visas depending on the purpose

When applying for a Chinese visa, you can choose between different types of visas depending on your purpose of visit. Each type has its own duration and application procedure, but generally speaking:

  • Tourist visa: This kind of visa is valid for multiple entries over a period of up to 90 days.
  • Business visa: This kind of visa allows one entry within 30 days with a maximum stay period in China of 180 days. In some cases, it may be extended once only for another 30 days beyond the initial 180-day limit (for example if you have not yet left China after 180 days). You’ll need to apply again at least 10 working days before your current business trip ends so that there’s enough time for processing by the embassy/consulate; otherwise you might end up having to leave before finishing what you’re supposed to do here!

A third type is also available—the student or work permit—but these will not be discussed further here because they require prior approval from local authorities rather than being issued directly by embassies/consulates overseas.”
